quotes In the description it says it comes with a Fox Shock, but your pic has a Cane Creek Double barrel. Can you well me which one is correct?

quotes I definitely like the idea of NICA. I wish mountain biking was a part of my high school gym class. Think about it, most of our school's sports are all field or court sports (football, tennis, basketball). Almost every kid you know has played all these sports, why? Cause they were all mandatory in phys-ed. No wonder that's where most of the interest is. It's about time the kids learn about our 2 wheeled friends. This reminds me of an incident that happened to me over this summer. I was visiting with a friend and was riding his new bike and asked if his brother wanted to go riding with me but he couldn't. Why? Because he had never learned to ride a bike before, yet he was 13 years old! I was so surprised. I thought EVERY kid knew how to ride a bike, but I guess in this internet dominated day an age riding a bike isn't a part of a childhood as much as it used to be. My how times have changed.

quotes @ rwstyle No kidding. The guys took off down the mountain before her and at the end she was already at the bottom before they arrived! Ha ha.

quotes My only question is, how much power is lost due to the gearbox? Obviously due to physics, the more parts separating your legs and the power output wheel, the more power is lost due to interia, drag and friction etc etc. Heck, cars lose over 15% of their power due to power lost from the drivetrain. Sure, 15% might not mean alot to regular people, but that is huge if you're pinning for a podium spot where every millisecond counts. I can definitely see some advantages of a gearbox but it's not the most efficient way of delivering power with bicycles. Loss of pedaling power might not be much of an issue in DH, but I can definitely see power loss as a problem with XC riders. Not saying a gearbox will be an instant fail. I'm actually intrigued by it, but I'm just wondering if it can compete with it's derailleur brothers in efficiency.
